Course Detail: AEC - Aerospace Engineering Camp for 14-18 year olds

Our Aerospace AERO program teaches fundamentals of aerospace engineering and the science of flight. Classes emphasize topics such as aerodynamics, propulsion systems and aircraft design, as well as an introduction to structures and materials, and computer-aided design. Students will collaborate with their peers to learn and apply the latest technology in the aerospace engineering industry.

This is a hands-on course. Students will be working with Embry-Riddle faculty in our engineering labs while learning the principles of design and experimental testing. Our elite Aerospace Engineering professors have many years of experience in the field and will give students the opportunity to test their newly learned skills in competitions throughout the week. Competitions include the aerodynamic flight testing of balsa wood gliders and the structural testing of 3D-printed plastic models.
